Why we are building Whiteboard
Moroccan companies train thousands of people with tools designed for universities. Here is what we built instead, and how.

In a Moroccan company, training concerns everyone: headquarters, branches, plants, stores. Thousands of people, often far from a desk, often on a phone. Yet the tools they are given were designed for something else.
What we saw
We looked closely at how Moroccan companies train their people. The same picture came up everywhere.
- A course platform designed for universities, bent into shape for companies: no units, no employee IDs, no recertification deadlines.
- Analytics sold separately, in another product, with another login and questions to be asked in English.
- AI offered as an option, under a third licence.
- Two interfaces living side by side depending on how old a course is, and an administration that has not changed in ten years.
- No Arabic, and role names changed by hacking a language pack.
- A contract in foreign currency, and data nobody can locate.
Nobody chose this. It settled in, contract after contract, module after module.
What we built
Whiteboard is a learning platform for companies. One product, for three jobs.
- Learn: employees see what they need to do today, do it on their phone, even offline, and get their certificate.
- Teach: trainers build a module from their slides, grade with the keyboard and know who has not finished.
- Steer: training managers see each unit's compliance, send reminders in one click and export exactly what they see.
Analytics are included, in the same app and with the same permissions. AI is built in, bounded and capped: it prepares drafts, a human decides. French, Arabic and English are equals, and Arabic reads right to left down to the last chart.
What we built underneath
Each customer is isolated by the database itself: PostgreSQL rejects any row of another organisation, even when the code gets it wrong. The audit log is append-only. Backups restore to a precise point in time, and we have timed the drill. All of it is described, without asterisks, on our Security and hosting page, with a dossier to hand to your CISO.
What is Moroccan about us
Not a list of local features. The company and the contract.
- A publisher based in Casablanca, and a contract in dirhams.
- A host you can name: Hetzner, in Germany, by default; Morocco if you prefer.
- A team you can reach in French, Arabic and English.
- A full export of your data, written into the contract.
How we work
We ship in short steps. Each one goes through a battery of automated tests: isolation between customers, enforced by the database itself; each role's permissions; accessibility; right-to-left layout; desktop and phone. What this website shows works today; what is planned is said to be planned.
A product is also judged by what it refuses to do badly.
So we also say what we do not do: no app-store app, no webcam exam proctoring, no online shop, no home-made video conferencing. Your Teams, Meet or Jitsi links work just fine.
Today
The product covers its three jobs: the Studio and AI course design, the learner journey on a phone and offline, grading and the gradebook, sessions and QR-code check-in, analytics and data Q&A, communities, integrations — SSO, SCIM, SCORM, LTI 1.3, API — and migration from your current platform.
If you train hundreds or thousands of people in Morocco and this sounds familiar, write to us. We will show you the product with your own courses.
